Eliminate Stress THIS WEEK

Your daily stress accumulates like a cup under a constant stream of water.

It's getting filled with work stress, emails, meetings, kiddos, road rage, task changing, alllll da things.

WTF can we do about it? Those things HAVE to happen right?

If you can slow the flow and eliminate some stressors, awesome. But it's more effective and IMPORTANT to learn how to drain the cup efficiently, so we can stop waiting for burnout, sickness or other life altering things to FORCE us to slow down (which btw is when el cuppo runneth over, look at that neat metaphor).

How often do you 'drain your cup'? Do you wait until you're about to burst? Until you're constantly thinking "gawd, I need a week-long vacation!"

What if we just built in more efficient systems for alleviating that stress more regularly? That'd be cool right?

Here's what we’re gonna do this week...

  1. Set aside 10 minutes every day to do SOMETHING that restores you (and doesn't include screen time of any kind, blah buzzkill but you'll thank me later). I start my FHF peeps with 5min of box breathing in mid-morning and 5min in mid-afternoon.
  2. We want stillness, refreshment, and even a little bit of single-minded focus. Check out the list below for some ideas, and even pick a DIFFERENT activity each day to test out which ones you find most effective.
  • Walking
  • Napping
  • Reading
  • Box Breathing
  • Meditation
  • Being outside
  • Aromatherapy
  • Playing with pets
  • Cooking or baking
  • Getting a massage
  • ⛰Low intensity hiking
  • Zoning out or just being still
  • Reflecting on goals/purpose
  • Gentle stretching or mobility
  • ????????‍♂️Chill versions of Yoga & Pilates
  • Quiet time in AM & PM Routines
  • Deep connections with loved ones
  • Baths with candles or aromatherapy
