If you ever want to be a meal prep ninja you gotta do these 3 things...
1. CLEAN AS YOU GO
The WORST part of meal prepping is surveying the kitchen disaster after you've spent all that time slaving (we'll fix the time issue in #2 and #3).
Here's my life hack for you (feel free to apply to every room in your house)...
Every time you walk past the sink (to rinse, set something in it, ANYTHING) wash ONE thing.
Setting down a bowl you just used with oil & spice residue? DON'T SET IT DOWN CHEMOSABE. Wash it right NEOOW. Don't have time to wash that pot with sticky rice mess? Just fill with water to get it soaking. Not only will you NEVER have to slog through a cleaning marathon again, cleaning will get so much easier.
2. 3-STEP WEEKLY MEAL PREP
1) Meal Planning Sesh
This should go down on Thursday or Friday, maybe when things are winding down at work. Take a look at your weekend and the next week ahead and ACTUALLY PLAN OUT YOUR MEALS (gasp, you so wild).
2) Grocery Trip
This can happen right after your meal planning sesh or on another day but I HIGHLY recommend separating it from your actual meal prep.
3) Meal Prep
If it takes longer than 90min you're making it too complicated. Prep 2 proteins, 2 starches, 2-3 veggies and GTFO. Don't play with complicated recipes until/unless it brings you great joy.
3. FIND YOUR WINGMEN
If you're not utilizing a meal prep company for at least 1 meal per day, you are either losing your sh*t, inconsistent or have a lot of time on your hands.
DALLAS LOCALS - use these guys like yesterday
Google "meal prep + (your city)" & start with 1-2 meals per day. You will end up SAVING money bc right now you're either skipping meals & sacrificing your health or eating out and...sacrificing your health.
